THE AMHARA STRUGGLE IS NOT FOR SALE
The Amhara people are facing an existential crisis, yet the most insulting political theater is playing out right before our eyes. We are witnessing a textbook execution of the phases of genocide and political betrayal, and it is time to expose it completely.
Genocide and structural oppression follow a brutal, three-part cycle: Erasure, Execution, and Exploitation. The ultimate victory of genocide isn’t just the physical destruction of a people; it is destroying them so completely that the perpetrator eventually gets to control their narrative, hijack their history, and decide how they are remembered.
⚠️ THE DEEP ROOT OF THIS CRISIS:
This existential threat didn’t start with physical violence—it started with the ideological erasure written in books and stated in official interviews. By boldly claiming that the Amhara ethnicity doesn’t even exist, they stripped our people of their legitimacy, their history, and their humanity before the first blow was ever struck.
Look at how flawlessly they are executing the phases of this deception against us right now:
1️⃣ PHASE 1: ERASURE (Deny that people exist).
They laid the ideological ground work by weaponizing media and literature to deny the very existence of the Amhara identity.
2️⃣ PHASE 2: EXECUTION (Ally with those who harm them—the orchestrators of the Amhara genocide).
They actively collaborated with the very forces behind our destruction. First, they aligned with Abiy Ahmed (Prosperity Party) while our people were systematically targeted, and now they are partnering with Debretsion Gebremichael, the leader of the genocidal organization TPLF.
3️⃣ PHASE 3: EXPLOITATION (Create an organization to “represent” them).
The ultimate insult. After trying to erase us and allying with our killers, they now attempt to come back as the “agents” of our society. They are actively trying to hijack the genuine, blood-bought, grassroots Amhara Fano movement by creating fake organizations under the guise of the “Amhara Struggle.”
This isn’t political leadership—this is the final phase of our erasure. If we let the very people who denied our existence control our struggle, we allow them to seal our fate. You cannot deny a people’s identity, partner with those who orchestrate their suffering, and then demand to speak on their behalf. Our survival is not a bargaining chip!
OUR CALL TO ACTION:
Every Amhara, both at home and in the diaspora, must recognize this psychological warfare and stand united. We must explicitly reject these fake fronts. Expose Andargachew Tsige and the puppet leaders of the AFNM who trade our people’s blood and survival for political seats and power.
The Amhara people will not be gaslit. We will not be co-opted. Reject the fake alliance, protect the true grassroots Fano movement, and stand firm!
Now, by positioning themselves as our “representatives” in fake alliances, they are attempting to control the narrative of the very people they tried to erase. If we let the deniers control the struggle, we allow them to seal our fate.
Reject the Anti-Amhara fake leaders. Protect the true grassroots Fano movement. Our survival is not a bargaining chip!
